What’s Included in the Honda Sensing Package?

So, what is Honda Sensing and what does it include? The Honda Sensing system offers a variety of features to help keep you aware of your surroundings on the Laramie streets:

  • Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)— will assist in braking vehicle if forward-collision seems inevitable.
  • Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM)— detects when you begin to leave the roadway via a camera system.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)— helps to keep a consistent following distance.
  • Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)— brings vehicle back to the center of the lane should you begin to drift.
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR)— detects speed limit signs through the camera system and alerts you of the limits.

Can You Turn Off Honda Sensing?

While all of the Honda Sensing features are handy, if you don’t plan to utilize every feature you may be wondering “Can you turn off Honda Sensing?” Yes, you can turn off Honda Sensing features to suit your preferences! If you want to turn off the RDM features, press the button under ECON. LKS can be shut off by pushing the MAIN button on the steering wheel until the indicator lights on the instrument cluster are gone.

You can customize and configure your Honda Sensing setting with the optional touch screen. Navigate to the “Settings” then “Vehicle Settings” and find “Drive Assist Setup.” From there, you can alter the RDM warnings, proximity for CMBS, and more! If you need a hand getting your Honda Sensing suite to fit your needs, our service team can help you out!
